A girls guide to vampires....

“Joy Randall's Top 5 Tips for Vampire Hunters

1. Location, location, location. Remember, if you wouldn't be there, neither would a bloodsucker. They won't be found dead (ha!) in places like discos, ten-minute lube shops, or Switzerland. Check the Czech Republic.

2. Trust your eyes. You know the handsome, annoyingly arrogant, self-assured man in the shadows with long hair and a cleft in his chin? He's your vampire.

3. No matter how tempting it might be, DO NOT "ACCIDENTALLY" ACQUIRE A PAPER CUT AND SUGGEST YOUR VAMPIRE KISS YOUR FINGER TO MAKE IT BETTER. What you offer as a snack, he might take for a four-course meal.

4. From here on out, play it cool. Don't offer to accompany your prince of the night on the talk show circuit and WHATEVER YOU DO, DON'T OFFER HIM YOUR HEART.

5. And most of all, remember—being a vampire is nothing to laugh about.”

First page of the book I'm starting today! And yes. I'm hooked!!! Gotta love it when you find a snazzy author that makes you laugh and fall in love with the characters at the same time. :)

So today I'm at the health center trying to get back on the drop and I've already been here an hour. Sitting in these gloriously uncomfortable chairs. Picture below. With all these weird "informational" posters about stds and breast feeding. Odd combo right!!! But then I realize that if it weren't for places like this some people wouldn't know anything about preventative initiatives. So I guess I should be grateful that there are places where one can get birth control and condoms for free. But in the meantime I will still be cranky over my back hurting from these ridiculous chairs. Harrumph....

Scrub a dub dub. There's no duck in my tub!!!

So, after tearing Tim's room apart numerous times, my room apart before I left to go to Tim's house, and rummaging through my truck two separate times. I finally managed to catch my ever so elusive algebra book. Which it seems loves to hide under clothes baskets with suitcases stacked on top. I swear the thing grows legs when I leave the room

In other news we finally finished up the house at Tim's in time for the guardian ad litem to come and asses the living arrangements for munchkin. I'm sure thry will find nothing at fault. He's a wonderful dad. My own Tim is living proof of that. And td didn't dote on him nearly as much ad he does on our munch. Anyway after scrubbing siding, mopping floors, souring doorways and baseboards that house is nice and shiny like a new lemon scented penny. Lets hope it stays that way!

Tomorrow I'm supposed to go to a doctors appointment with gomi. Then possibly do some shopping but hopefully this doctor can tell her why she's itching so bad. She's almost worse that scarlet. Hopefully it's not shingles like she thinks.

I guess I should head to bed if I'm expected to be worth anything tomorrow. Goodnight cyberspace.

Things that make me happy

This is just a few pictures that I feel the need to add in here. These are things that make me happy.

Bbc invasion

Watching Sherlock Holmes... the BBC version. My impressions of it thus far are: its very entertaining, the acting is superb, the cinematics are very good, though the plots seem to run fairly long. its a lot of production to go into only have it be a miniseries... three episodes a season. that's a lot of work for only three episodes. i'm sure they could have more than three a season. leaving their viewers waiting anxiously for just those three episodes just seems a bit arrogant. but then that could just be me.

in other news i took my grandmother to run errands today. we went to Kohls today so she could return some tennis shoes she was never going to wear ever anyway, horsetown where she bought a hat, and then to barnes and noble where she bought a day planner. we went to poblanos mexican grill for dinner. it was a very productive day except i didnt get ANY cleaning done in my room and i'm sitting here writing this when i should be putting my laundry in.... so on that note i'll be right back....

back and ready to sit and knit some more...if i feel the need to write anything else i'll add it laters...

Well Here we go...

I'm not entirely sure as to why i decided to start this blog,, but i feel as though i'm trying to make a move in a different direction from my norm. including a more organized, more disciplined, more task oriented me.we shall see how things turn out.i will probably use this as a huffing post, a cathartic release of emotions to an unbiased party, and a place to show my inner geeky ramblings. sorry for anyone who stumbles upon this expecting any kind of exciting reading....
